Artistic Director
For 24 years Ethan has been a fixture of the Vermont theater scene. After acting, directing, writing and teaching for numerous venues, he has for the past 8 years turned his focus to the life-long dream of creating a story based theater. Bald Mountain is that theater. He lives up a long driveway in the wilds of Central Vermont with his wife Courtney and son Wilder. Much love to you both.

Managing Director
A true Vermont girl, Killian grew up in Bethel, VT and attended Middlebury College. From Chandler youth musicals to an internship at Lost Nation Theater, she cut her teeth receiving a theater education in Vermont schools and Vermont institutions. After a couple of years of performing in Jackson, WY and Boston, she is thrilled to be partnering with Ethan to bring powerful stories to life within the community that first inspired and fostered her.

My name is Nick Piccicuto. Yes it is Italian. I’m told the Piccicutos were butchers in the hills of Palermo, Sicily. It would have been cool to know them. It is only a quarter of my make-up, however as I am 4th generation American and I am a walking melting pot. The other half of my father is Scottish. My mother is French Canadian which makes me half. This is actually where I get my dark looks from. People hear my name and make assumptions. I was born in Fitchburg, MA. My parents were actually living in Keene, NH at the time and were visiting my mother’s parents when my mother went into labor. This is where most of my relatives were living at the time. Both sides of the family stormed the hospital and made such a ruckus that it made the newspaper. I often tell people that my 15 minutes of fame were my first 15 minutes of life and it's been all downhill from there. My parents moved me to Richmond, VA when I was three. Then to Reading, PA when I was 13. I’ve also lived in East Phoenix where I married the love-of my-life, Amy and had my two boys, Donovan and Desmond. We moved to Vermont in 2003 when they were 22 and 2 months, respectively. We landed in a neighborhood that was a former hippe-commune. It was really just a regular place to live with some interesting history. We adopted our daughter Jasmine in 2013. We now live on the park. I joined the WRVP in 2010 and it is my favorite community endeavor.

Writer/Actor
Amy Braun (she, her) teaches outdoors in rural Vermont (yes, it gets cold) and serves as the current president of the League of Vermont Writers. Amy’s published nonfiction and fiction include: “Skid Mark” for On The Run, “The Plastic” for Apple in the Dark, “A Passing Glimpse” in The Heart of New England magazine, “Solstice Saturday” on ESSAYDAILY.org, and “Vanilla” for Brilliant Flash Fiction. Amy recommends reading anything by Anne Tyler (there are twenty-two novels to choose from so have a blast) and “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

Singer/Writer/Actor
Erica Furgiuele is a singer, writer, composer, and lyricist. She was part of the O.G. cast of There Once Was, and so she's thrilled to be back working with people just as odd as she is.

Writer/Actor
Vander Gac (they/them) is a partner, a parent, and a poet. They are grateful and thankful to everyone who has ever worked to make the world a better place, including those who steward stages and those who seek out art and let it change them.

Writer
Katharine (Katie) Davis Reich is a writer for The Nature Conservancy and author of many unpublished fictional works of widely varying quality. She grew up in Rochester and has fond memories of White River Valley Players productions, the Vermont Young Playwrights program, and drama class with Bald Mountain's inimitable maestro, Ethan Bowen. But somewhere along the way she discovered she was more of a city mouse, so now she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and their adorably scruffy rescue dog, Seymour. There, she has gone completely soft and wears a jacket anytime the temperature dips under seventy degrees.
